Marcheta Evans’s Background
Marcheta Evans assumed the role of the 12th president of St. Catherine University in July 2024, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in higher education leadership across both public and private sectors. Prior to her current position, she served as the chancellor of Bloomfield College of Montclair State University in New Jersey during the merger of the institutions and held the role of provost and vice president for academic affairs at Our Lady of the Lake University in Texas. In addition, Evans worked as an associate dean at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
