Tracee Norris has been appointed as the director of development for the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas. Norris brings over 20 years of experience in higher education, with a specific focus on university development since 2006. She officially began her role on August 20, 2024.

In her new position, Norris will work to meet the college’s philanthropic objectives by building relationships with potential donors, overseeing solicitations, and managing outreach efforts to benefactors. Her contributions will align with the WE CARE strategic plan and support fundraising initiatives that correspond with the priorities established by both the college and the university.

Norris is expected to collaborate with various boards and committees, including the Dean’s Executive Advisory Board, the Alumni Awards Selection Committee, and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

Previous Experience
Prior to joining the University of Arkansas, Norris held the position of associate director of development at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She has also served as the chief fundraiser for the College of Education at the University of South Florida and as the director of development for the College of Liberal Arts at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

In addition to her professional activities, she is involved in animal rescue and adoption efforts, along with her family, which includes her husband Chris and their daughter Breeze.
