A 21-year-old man sustained injuries due to a shooting incident on the University of Minnesota’s Minneapolis campus on Saturday evening. According to a university spokesperson, the injuries were not life-threatening, and the victim has no affiliation with the university.
Shooting Incident Details
Police received reports of multiple gunshots near the intersection of Washington and Walnut avenues SE shortly before 7 p.m. An emergency notification indicated that four suspects, believed to be in their teens or early twenties, fled the scene in a gray Dodge Charger.
Victim’s Condition and Investigation
The victim was transported from the scene on a stretcher as law enforcement secured the area near the Graduate Minneapolis hotel and commenced an investigation into shell casings found on-site.
