Several announcements regarding the 2024 UNCF MASKED Ball have been made by the UNCF Indianapolis Area Office. Scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the JW Marriott Indianapolis, the event is themed “80 Years of Black Excellence.” Its purpose is to celebrate the contributions and achievements of the African American community in various sectors, including business, medicine, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, sports, and entertainment.
Honoring Achievement
The gala will honor students who have been awarded scholarships, highlighting their achievements and contributions to community and economic development. The host for the event will be Rafael Sanchez, an anchor and investigative journalist recognized for his contributions to journalism. Additionally, “The Polished Lady” is set to host the Gold Carpet and VIP Experience.
Community Leadership Recognition
The event will also recognize eight African American Mayors from Indiana for their leadership and positive impact within their communities. Noteworthy attendees are expected to include Black executives from leading Indiana companies, as well as celebrated athletes who have significantly contributed to the state.
