Texas State University Expands Online Degree Offerings with 18 New Programs in High-Demand Fields

Texas State University has announced an expansion of its online degree offerings, introducing 18 new programs set to commence in January. This initiative nearly doubles the current number of online programs available at the institution, contributing to a broader trend in higher education towards online learning. The expansion includes four new bachelor’s degree programs—three in communications studies and one in nursing—as well as 14 master’s degree programs in various fields such as business administration, education, health information management, and science. As a result, the university will offer a total of 38 online degree programs.

Collaboration with Risepoint

To facilitate this expansion, Texas State University is collaborating with the educational technology company Risepoint, which specializes in aiding institutions with the development and growth of online programs. Risepoint, formerly known as Academic Partnerships, focuses on disciplines that are in high demand, including healthcare, business, and education. Insights from Risepoint have been instrumental in identifying the areas where new online programs are needed.
